CIX Officially Ends Group Activities After 7 Years

The K-pop group CIX has officially announced the end of its group promotions after approximately seven years of activity. On April 29, their agency C9 Entertainment released a statement confirming the difficult decision.

“An Inevitable Decision”

According to the agency, months of in-depth discussions were held regarding the future of the group. Ultimately, both the members and the company agreed that suspending group activities was unavoidable at this stage.

The statement expressed deep regret, highlighting the dedication and effort that went into every aspect of CIX’s journey — from music production and choreography to performances and variety appearances.

Members’ Next Steps

Each member of CIX will now move forward on individual paths:

BX and Seunghun will see their exclusive contracts end on April 30

Yonghee has applied for military service and will begin basic training on May 11

Hyunsuk, currently filming a drama, will officially end his contract on May 31, with continued support from the agency for his ongoing projects

A Goodbye… But Not Forever?

While this marks the end of group promotions, the agency emphasized that this is not necessarily a permanent farewell.

Fans were encouraged to continue supporting the members in their individual careers. The company also stated that communication with the members will continue, leaving open the possibility that CIX could reunite in the future with new music.
