BTS’ Taehyung Opens Up About the Struggles of Fame and Respecting Privacy 💜
During a relaxed Weverse live on May 20, BTS members RM, Jimin, J-Hope, and Taehyung spent time together sharing a meal and talking about life on tour. While the atmosphere was lighthearted, the conversation eventually turned to a more serious topic — the difficulties of living under constant public attention.
Taehyung spoke honestly about how exhausting it can be to always be filmed or followed whenever he goes out in public. He explained that this kind of attention often prevents him from enjoying simple everyday activities or relaxing freely outside of work.
One example he mentioned was wanting to play pickleball casually without people taking photos or gathering around him.
After the live, many ARMY shared supportive messages online, reminding others that idols also deserve personal space and privacy.
“Concerts and airports are one thing, but outside of that, they should be allowed to live like normal people.”
“They already share so much with fans — let them enjoy their private time too.”
“Real fans know where the limits are.”
Many fans also pointed out that even a simple visit from Taehyung to a public place can quickly attract large crowds, making it impossible for him to return quietly in the future.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time BTS members have faced invasions of privacy. From paparazzi photos to unwanted crowds during personal moments, the group has repeatedly dealt with the darker side of global fame.
Despite these challenges, BTS continues their international activities and is set to perform at the Allegiant Stadium on May 23, 2026, as part of their world tour.
