The K-pop community has been left heartbroken after the reported passing of Mina, a Japanese ENHYPEN fan who had been facing severe online harassment.

Mina was a content creator and a devoted ENHYPEN fan, especially known for her unwavering support of member NI-KI.

During one of ENHYPEN's concerts, Mina had prepared a bouquet of flowers that she hoped to give to NI-KI. Since he was interacting with other fans at the time, she asked Sunoo if he could pass the bouquet to him. Unfortunately, the gift could not be delivered, and the bouquet was returned to Mina.

After the concert, some internet users connected this incident to comments NI-KI had previously made about concerts being places where everyone should simply enjoy themselves, rather than trying to attract attention or receive special treatment. Many interpreted his words as being directed at Mina, even though no official confirmation was ever given. As a result, she became the target of an overwhelming wave of criticism and online attacks.

In response to the backlash, Mina publicly apologized and announced that she would step away from her fan activities in an effort to distance herself from the situation. Sadly, the hateful comments continued to spread across social media.

In one of her final Instagram Stories, Mina shared a screenshot of one of the abusive messages she had received, expressing how deeply hurt she was by words written by complete strangers.

On August 5, during a live broadcast, Mina appeared visibly distressed. She repeatedly said, "I'm very scared," before adding, "I wish I could live a little longer." Throughout the livestream, the comment section continued to fill with messages directed at her.
