Allegations involving the brother of BLACKPINK member Jisoo have resurfaced online following renewed public attention around a separate sexual misconduct case involving a man identified in Korean media as her sibling.
According to reports from South Korean media outlets, past accusations against a man surnamed Kim, identified as Jisoo’s older brother, have returned to public discussion after news emerged of his arrest in connection with alleged sexual misconduct involving an internet broadcaster (BJ).
The original claims date back to May last year, when an anonymous post was published on the workplace community platform Blind. The author stated they had been in a consensual relationship with Kim but later discovered they had been secretly filmed without consent. The post further alleged that he had shown the footage to acquaintances and possessed additional illicit recordings involving other women. At the time, the writer said they were considering legal action.
Kim’s side denied the allegations, calling them “completely false,” and stated that legal measures would be taken after consulting with lawyers. The post was later removed from the platform.
The issue has resurfaced after reports that a man identified as Kim was arrested on April 15 on charges of indecent assault. Additional allegations reportedly fall under South Korea’s S*xual Violence Punishment Act, including offenses related to the use of illegally recorded materials and threats involving their distribution.
According to police statements cited in local media, the alleged victim claims that Kim shared intimate images she had sent him with third parties and later used them as leverage to issue threats. Investigators from the Gangnam Police in Seoul have reportedly applied for an arrest warrant as the investigation continues.
Reports also state that Kim met the alleged victim after purchasing a “dinner date” through the livestreaming platform SOOP. It is claimed that after meeting on April 14, he brought her to his residence after assuring her of her safety, before attempting inappropriate physical contact.
During police questioning, Kim reportedly acknowledged that physical contact occurred but denied that it was non-consensual. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
