BTS Win Artist of the Year at the 2026 American Music Awards

BTS made history once again at the 2026 American Music Awards after taking home the biggest prize of the night: Artist of the Year.

The ceremony took place on May 25, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. BTS not only won the main award of the evening, but also successfully swept every category they were nominated in.

This marks the second time BTS have won the prestigious Artist of the Year award at the AMAs, further cementing their status as one of the most influential music groups in the world.

The group faced strong competition from some of the biggest international stars, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga, but once again BTS and ARMY proved the incredible strength of their global fanbase.

During the emotional acceptance speech, RM thanked fans around the world for their endless support and dedication throughout the years. The members received huge cheers from the audience as social media quickly exploded with reactions from fans celebrating the historic wins.

The success of “SWIM” also became one of the biggest highlights of the evening. The song has already become a worldwide summer hit thanks to its addictive sound, emotional performances and massive streaming numbers across platforms.
